In the middle of the Masai country you find the Ngorongoro Crater. The crater is a must-see for every visitor in the northern part of Tanzania. It is a ‘mini world’ with savannah, forest savannah, rainforest and swamp areas – and a very diverse animal life.
The Ngorongoro Concervation Area (NCA) is quite simply the most spectacular tourist destination in Africa/ world-unequaled in its magnificence. It is a scenic beauty with its wildlife and its atmosphere.
We will visit the crater in the morning as the animals are more active at this time of the day. If we stay in one of the lodges inside the conservation area we will be among the first to reach the bottom of the crater early in the morning.
The ever-changing weather patterns provide a dramatic backdrop to the scenery and wildlife creating clouds which pour the highlands like giant waves.
The scenery is spectacular, predators are abundant and it’s not unusual to see the Big 5 in a single day. We will see surprisingly many animals in a small area.
We guarantee that you will see wild beasts, flamingos, zebras and antelopes in thousands, and you can expect to see lions, elephants, hippos, jackals, a variety of birds and maybe rhinos.
After a good lunch and another shorter game drive, we will head home after a terrific safari day in Tanzania that you will never forget.
